  • Nov 20, 2009 Nov 20: Skate to Vancouver
    Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center
The Sheboygan Lakers Figure Skating Club program coincides with the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Beginning Nov. 1 and running through Feb. 28, skaters can join in the Olympic Spirit and log laps around the ice center during open skate or SLFSC ice sessions. The goal of each skater will be to skate the equivalent of the distance from Sheboygan to Vancouver. One lap will equal 5 miles as skaters strive to log 2135 miles. Skaters who make it 214 miles will receive a Sheboygan Lakers Water Bottle. All participants will be recognized at the SLFSC Ice Show on February 28th, 2010. Skaters who make it the entire distance will receive a Skate to Vancouver T-shirt. Registration and a $10 fee are required. Skaters will receive a Lap Form, on which they will record their laps as witness by rink volunteers. Forms available on the Skate to Vancouver tab or at the rink.
